About our school
Welcome to The Canterbury Academy Trust lottery.
Our lottery has been set up specifically to raise money to make a difference to our schools and children by continuing to provide ‘as much as possible, for as many as possible, as often as possible’.
Funds raised support and enrich the education of our children. We aim to provide extra resources for the children; improve our school environment; and continue to provide opportunities and support across our four pillars of academic success, sporting excellence, excellence in performing arts and excellence in practical learning.
What have we done with the funds raised?
- The Canterbury Primary School has painted new playground markings for break and lunch activities.
- At The Canterbury Academy, our school council has used lottery proceeds to launch recycling across the site, with facilities in every classroom and office. This makes us more sustainable and provides opportunities to educate our pupil body about environmental actions, as well as saving money on waste disposal that can be used in more beneficial ways.
What future plans do we have?
Our school lottery funds projects across the Academy Trust that we would otherwise not be able to afford to do. Every ticket purchased helps us to improve our schools for our pupils.
- We are working with The Great Outdoor Gym Company and are raising funds for an outdoor gym onsite at The Academy, for the use of pupils and the community.
