Annual Awards - Our Top Performing Lotteries

01 July 2021

And The Winner Is...

This week sees the launch of the first ever Your School Lottery Annual Awards. These awards have been created to celebrate the efforts of the hundreds of schools, PTAs and nurseries around the country that are running lotteries to help raise essential funds. Whilst we can't give an award to every school, we know that there are countless unsung heroes out there spreading the word about their lottery, to give their schools a funding boost - we salute you!

Together you raised over £1.25million towards school funds in 2020.

We have created two special awards for our top performing schools, known as the Founders Awards. These awards are The Woodhead Cup, for the Top Performing New School Lottery; and The Speare Cup for the overall Top Performing School Lottery. Each winning school will receive £250, courtesy of our award sponsors, London & Zurich.

This year's winners of The Woodhead Cup are St Mary’s & St Peter’s CofE Primary School in Teddington, who launched their lottery in September 2020. By the end of the year they had already raised over £3,300 to pay for online teaching equipment. This year, The Speare Cup has been awarded to Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School in Aylesbury. The PTA of this school has used the lottery to raise over £19k, to purchase the amazing climbing wall pictured above.

In addition to the Founders Awards, we are also recognising the acheivements of schools of all sizes from all corners of the country. Below are the winners of all the awards and commendations. Huge congratulations to you all!
